Harvard Social Scene

"the crappy Wigglesworth parties"

hahhahaaa, i wonder if you're referring to my room. b32?

Harvard has Boston...which means tons of great restaurants, clubs (19+), and other misc. random things to do. It's also soo close to soo many other schools...MIT/BU/Wellesley/etc, so you can always go there for parties. On campus, people DON't CARE about alcohol consumption. I knew sophomores who had beer/hard alcohol ALL OVER their room, and the proctors saw and never commented.

Yale has "Sex Week."

The designated name is wonderfully accurate in its suggestion of what this special week is affiliated with.

Where does that fit into this conversation?

Wiggs B32...hmm...I know people who were in B22...? I think? AB, To'C, JZ and RG...familiar? or was this a couple of years ago? :p

Hahaha, yup those were the ones below me. I'm riding Tom's bike around this summer.

LOL. damn--now I'm trying to remember who lived in B32...I should know this, I spent enough time over there...hahaha.

we didn't really have much entryway unity...

but i'm dc, roomates were jpz, rp, and ab... an ohioan, a californian, a local, and a canuck

are there a lot of drugs at harvard?

Depends on the people you hang out with.

I'm sure you can find people who do whatever (probable exception, heroin). But unless you go looking for it, you won't notice drugs at Harvard (possible exception, marijuana).

TOC! I miss that kiddo. Took Life Sciences 1a and Chem 7 with the kid. Looking forward to the Chem 17/27 sequence with the guy as well. Seriously driven but a really great guy.

Haha...yeah I miss him too :) I don't think of him as super-driven, but that's because the majority of the time he was clowning around with his roommates...they're all great.
Did you take life sci 1b? gak...that was dumb on my part...ah well. :D (I'm a social studies major)
Is it sad that we have facebook and we are all on CC still? looks doubtful

You can't share the Naked Quincy Guy love on facebook–everyone already knows about him.

Thank God I didn't take LS1b. I'm a HistSci major so I'm going to be taking Biology over the summer next year. I'd rather have some fun and do more ECs during the year than slave over LS1b as all of my other pre-med friends did. If you took it as a core for Science B, well, my respect for you has just shot up 500000-fold.

Yay Hist and Sci!

Umm...this is the Harvard Board...
not the Yale Board

xjayz: Yes, I took it as a core. I was really, REALLY dumb to have done so...but hey, the labs were really fun, at least. :p And hist and sci...awesome :)

justforgetme: Naked Quincy Guy love?! ***?!?! please, please tell me it doesn't have anything to do with Primal Scream...or maybe it'd be better if it did...gak. hahahaha.

and jasminejewel16: thanks :) good to know...I did wonder what the environment was like...and I think it's fine to post it on the Harvard board...gives prospies a chance to compare both schools further.

http://www.thecrimson.com/article.aspx?ref=511607

Oh yeah! I read about that on campus last year...crazy people. Oh well...it's Quincy...;) hahahaha JK.

Ahh it's good to see a bit of Harvard banter going on.

Thankfully, I am going to be taking Biology-S1ab next summer. Probably going to be dorm crewin' it for a month and holding down a tutoring job so I can defray that $4,400 pricetag that the class comes with.

Lowellbelle, PM me your real name? Facebook friend me! justforgetme, Sunglasses (also a HistSci person!), saxfreq and I already all know each other in person, join the core of undergraduates still on CC! :)

Oh and CURRIER HOUSE! Quincy is pretty cool right now. Saxfreq is right next door in the next room! Pretty sweet accomodations though I must say. Oh, and Annenberg is just weird since it's full of SSP students rather than the '09ers I've been so accustomed to seeing. Domna is still a presence there, although now if you say her name she's so happy since the SSP students don't know the wrath and the odd kindness that is Domna.
