FDR(my, and Ronald REagan's Idol) had lower budget deficits enacting the New Deal and Fighting WWII than bush had. LBJ had lower deficits even while funding the Great Society and Vietnam...</p>
<p>if you look at the charts(too lazy to do a web search) you'll see that deficits exploded with reagan</p>
<p>democrats are called tax and spend, that is more fiscally responsible than republicans because they just spend and cut taxes passing the bill on to me! with the added interest of course :(</p>
