Two years ago my D had to choose between her long time first choice, Yale, and Harvard. Bulldog Days came first and she was less than wowed. She made her final decision and dropped off her card at Byerly Hall during Pre-Frosh. We had seen both schools Jr year spring break and again Sr year spring break, but the admitted student's days made a difference. She attended both alone for the first time. She made good friends that she still sees today.

But when all is said and done, a student would be just as happy at Stanford, Harvard or Yale. There are differences, to be sure, but the similarities are overwhelming. However, if a student hesitated between UCLA and Stanford, a visit might be even more decisive.

I watched the video, and it looks awesome!!! If you haven't watched the video, I strongly suggest you do so. Seems they recognize the admitted kids in attendance have many other choices, including YALE (gasp!) so they try really hard to make everything nice and attractive and disabuse kids of their major reservation about Harvard, ie that the students are aloof, nerdy, snobby, etc.
