I'm just an average student, and going to be touring schools in the Boston area: Babson, Bentley, Northeastern U. So my parents told me I need to choose one more college. I've always wondered what harvard was like, so I thought I'd just take a tour of it, to see what's so special about it. So what im wondering is, do many average kids go there and tour it, despite knowing they don't really have a chance?

of course! it's definitely a tourist attraction too, so people who aren't even thinking about college visit it.

yea- my tour guide said people come up to her, ask if she's a harvard student, and take a picture of her! haha :)

why do they want you to pick one more college?

It is a big tourist attraction. There are always people of all kinds snapping pictures. You definitely don't need to qualify for admission in order to take a Harvard tour. :)

How do people dress? Is it alot of parents with business suits on. With the kids having JCrew kakis and polos.

pink polo and popped collar you'll blend in fine with the other males

Right now, I am sure that people are wearing heavy winter coats and hats. It's cold!
In warm weather, people wear jeans, T-shirts, shorts, the kind of clothes that one would wear while wandering around a big city.

Trust me: It's not a fashion show. No one cares what you wear. It's simply a guided tour, just like you'd have if you were visiting the Statue of Liberty or Liberty Bell or something. It's not a big deal. No one is staring and pointing at the visitors. No one cares.
