hi there, i was wondering what my chances of getting in are. I am an international student from Cameroon (W Africa) i am applying to Harvard as a transfer student. I have a college gpa of 3.95, SAT 2040, chem 790, physics 670, math2 670. In terms of EC i have been a volunteer tutor for four years, i run marathons (not with school), i helped to create international students club at college. I spent last summer as a volunteer in a pediatric hospital in Germany. My Ec's are weak probably because i have to work as i support myself in the united states. I am a chemistry lab technician. Does anybody have any comments? i will really appreciate it. thanks

please can anyone tell me anything i see people look at it but no one says anything, let's just chat even if you don't know

Keep this in mind: it's much harder getting into Harvard as a transfer. Ridiculously hard. Something like 50-70 out of about 1000 are taken each year as transfers, if I recall correctly. Your GPA is stellar, your SAT scores on the low end. Definitely apply since you have as much a shot as any qualified applicant, but don't get your hopes up.

thanks lingbo it was nice t get a reply i will keep that in mind

I'm a transfer to Harvard, and I actually co-lead transfer orientation. It will be a while until I check this email address ( I post a backup here so that hopefully the moderator won't blank it out... i dont care who emails it) but itll be a while til you transfer... so email me at revsaw aAta gmail aDOTa com. Feel free to ask any questions you'd like.
