My dream has always been to study at Harvard University or any an ivy league, unfortunately i'll not be able to be admitted this year. I'd love to try to transfer there in my sophomore or junior year.
I got admitted to tulane, smu, suny buffalo and uc santa barbara.
Do yoh think i have a few chances? And in case what would be the best university for that?</p>
<p>Unfortunately, Harvard has never been a school accommodating for transfers. The transfer admit rate is usually 0-2%. </p>
<p>You can, however, transfer to Cornell which is the only Ivy where the transfer admit rate is higher than the Frosh admit rate.</p>

<p>Go to where you’d want to spend the next 1-4 years. Even if you do everything right, it’s still not guaranteed that you’ll get into Cornell.</p>

<p>You’ve been admitted to Rice on a tennis scholarship…go there.</p>
<p>You will not get into Cornell with that mentality. Their first criteria of admission is fit. If you cannot decide why you belong in a specific college you are essentially wasting your time. If you are that pretentious that you care so much about prestige over fit, I strongly suggest you apply to a top LAC because you do not even know what you want. If mom2collegekids is correct about Rice, you are wasting your time. Rice is arguably one of the most prestigious schools in the country. If saying the words Ivy League means that much then you don’t belong or understand what it means to be an elite institution.</p>

<p>I don’t know if the student is a ■■■■■ or not. I suspect that the student is foreign, and like many foreign students, she’s under the impression that only the ivies are impressive and everything else is a huge letdown.</p>
