Harvard's optional supplementary essay?

<p>Do most people who get accepted write the additional essay? I know it's optional.</p>

<p>Also, do you think it'll be okay if I sent in a poem about myself instead of writing an essay or making "a list of books" I've read in the past 12 months?</p>

<p>I'm planning to send in this poem no matter what, but I'm afraid that the "additional information" section of the Common App won't have enough room for my long poem!</p>

<p>Any help/advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.</p>

<p>I expect that most acceptees do submit the optional essay but that so do most rejectees.</p>

<p>Submitting a poem seems fine.</p>

<p>Yay, thank you. I think I’ll submit my poem if I don’t end up submitting it in the “additional info” section of the Common App (word limit :frowning: my poem is kind of long)</p>
