I wasn't notified about the Merit Award. Does this mean I didn't get it? I am unlikely to go if I do not get it. I'm curious as to why I did not as my stats were well above the average accepted for Harvey Mudd. Also, I have a small update that occurred after my application was submitted. I did not send the update to Mudd yet, but could I send it now to try and get the merit award even if I was rejected from the award the first time?

I’m not sure, but my understanding is that financial aid packages will be sent out next week. If you mean the top scholarship that you’d have to interview for - that one has been announced (the finalists at least), but lesser merit awards are still possible.

You most likely did not get it. Harvey Mudd Merit recipients (the $10k annual award) are notified at the time of admission. [HMC Blogs: Admission Edition: Progress?](HMC Blogs: Admission Edition: Progress?)

They will almost surely not reconsider because they only give out a limited number (~25% of admits get one). If you’re not in the top quartile, you shouldn’t expect to get one. Even if your grades/scores put you in the top quartile, you might not get one anyways unless your activities are similarly strong.
