Yes, I would be fairly surprised if they weren’t released tomorrow around 4:30. But if not, they will definitely release it next Friday.
@Meg52Martin Looks like this Friday it is.
So do we all think they will wait until next Friday instead of tomorrow (or some other day this week?)
I think it’ll be the 25th, the 27th, or the 30th
I have 2 that applied in past years and both were notified on Fridays. (back when they released mid-December). And they released Jan. 20th last year which was also a Friday. While I hope it is sooner, I think they like to release on Fridays.
Or they’ll just release on Jan 30th Not really any use in thinking otherwise, predictions were made for the georgia tech decision but in reality was released at the time they originally announced
Decision is there for me (out of state but not international). Rejected with 3.75 and 1400 SAT.

deferred ACT: 24 SAT: 1190 / 1600 applied to engineering and exploratory studies. thoughts? recommendations? advice?
Accepted in state, Exploratory Studies
My guess is that if you’re deferred, you’ve only been considered for first choice major? I think next round they’d consider both.
ugh, I should’ve put exp. studies for first choice
Is anyone who got accepted get their second choice?
@jd1209 - Hang in there. Odds are, several students will have applied to Chapel Hill and other schools, too, and they haven’t announced their decisions yet. Wait until the beginning of February, so all the EA decisions are out, and then contact them on a regular basis. Meanwhile, write them an email right away, thanking them for considering your application, and indicating a continued interest, and the hope that your “Deferred” converts to an “Accepted” The very best of luck to you!
