You got your mail already??? Where are you from again? Hang in there....this is not the end of the world.

Edit: Wait.....you had the housing thingy, didn't you?

BJAG-have you heard yet? I'm pulling for you!

Why, because you accidentally congratulated him? Haha.
But no worries, I'm pulling for everyone!!! (Most notably myself)

Yes...I feel guilty because I put in the wrong user name. I know how stressful this whole process is.

Once again, I had no tabs last year, and I got in. Chill.

fwiw: I checked last year's thread on cc, and decisions were still being mailed in the first week of April (pretty stupid policy, IMO). But, more importantly, someone posted that their Agora link did not change until April, but before they recieved their acceptance letter. Thus, based on last year's experience, there is still hope for those with only five Agora links.

Good luck to you all.

On a negative note, a kid was rejected with the following stats: 4.0-Val, 2300+, Catholic HS. BC was his first choice. Ouch!

nvm.. yay i have 6 tabs :)

5 tabs rejected in Ny

No tab! I'm probably screwed

"On a negative note, a kid was rejected with the following stats: 4.0-Val, 2300+, Catholic HS. BC was his first choice. Ouch! "

bluebayou,

thats ridiculous!
has to be some sort of problem there. maybe 23 felonies or something haha

^ I know. A kid from my school got accepted with 1640 SAT and another one got rejected with 1850 SAT but he was like suspended for about 2months in his junior year.

jorgens12-- I live in MA and i haven't heard yet but I have all the tabs. I called the admission and they told me that letters will be mailed this week and next week and it depends on which staff is mailing the letters. Some of the staffs are taking their time while the others are working as fast as they can to get it over with.

No tab, no letter yet. I'm expecting a rejection, even though I thought my stats were pretty decent. ):

I had the tab and was ultimately accepted

I just checked agora and I only have 5 tabs =[ But some say there's still hope? maybe admissions is doing it in rounds? My stats are around BC so I'm hoping to get in...

SAT I -- 730 Math, 660 Reading, 700 Writing
SAT IIs -- 750 Chem, 740 Math II
GPA -- 4.1/4.0, took all Honors and APs (this year, AP English Lit., AP French Lang., AP Biology, AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry)
A lot of extracurricular activities including dance competitions/ dance scholarships.
My brother also went to BC. Applied as Chemistry Major. North Jersey.

Any glimpse of hope?!

This year a lot of people with better stats than you got in(for some reason) while some with worse stats that you got accepted. I personally know two of my friends who got accepted with 1640 and 1670 SAT. Numbers are not that imp that much anymore (I guess)

Sorry to tell you this but If you have no tab, that means you are either rejected/waitlisted especially when you are from NJ. If you were from CA or WA, I would say it might have a little hope. Just hope that someone from ED decline their acceptance and you get your 6th tab. Good luck.

I assumed most of their decisions were based mostly on grades and ECs because there were no extra essays and stuff in the supplement part of the application. Another ones of my hypotheses proven wrong. =[
I don't think I can survive another rejection from a top choice school after being rejected from Cornell ED. :(

Just went downstairs to check the mail - I got in, with the sixth tab.

I think that if you have the tab, you obviously got in. Best of luck to everyone!

BC is not my top choice, so those on the waitlist should have the peace of mind that they may take my place instead when all of this wraps up in May.

celestialxx-- I think it was more like grades, ranks, ecs, recs and then SAT. Like the kids who got in from my school are ranked #1,2,3 and 6. However a kid with #16 rank better SAT(1690) got rejected. Another one with 1850 SAT and #20 rank got rejected as well.

But I think college decisions are bunch of bs. It's all how you sell yourself and how much your luck favors you. But again, I could be wrong too.

D got in w/ the 6th tab - we live in Northern California
