Has anyone been accepted to CSULB for Fall 2012 yet?

It also appears that we can sign up for 13 units before school starts (From June 1 - AUG 22), then starting SEPT 11th (2 weeks after start and ending SEPT 24) we can sign up for an additional 3 credits.

dmangat,

I’m sorry to read about what happened with your decision. However, I would encourage you to make the best out of what you have. At least you have the chance to continue going to school. That in itself is something to be happy for. Others are not so fortunate. Besides, I have a friend who went to Dominguez Hills for her undergrad degree and she’s now at USC for her master’s work. If I were you I would ace my undergrad courses and graduate with honors so then you can make a comeback. You gotta show those schools that you have what it takes! Give it your best! You have a great shot from where you’re standing.

Monorojo: You should have an enrollment hold that prevents you from registering because you haven’t attended SOAR yet… That’s what mine says.

Also we can register for up to 16 units beginning August 3 after 5pm.

Orangeapple76, thanks so much for your words. I was feeling really down when I got the news but you are so right I’m gonna make the best out of it and really give it my all at Dominguez Hills. I feel like I have a second chance at making things right this time and I’m not screwing this golden chance at graduating from college

4b1a5y : Yeah I do have 2 enrollment holds, and also thanks for the link to the important dates.

Omg I’m sorry dmangat, but like orange said, youre still going to a state credited university. And she or he is absolutely right, do good in DH an you will have less competition so doors are going to open for you. I’m still in the competitive round but I’m pretty sure it’s over for me. But you know, transferring at DH with a 3.7 and if I manage to maintain gives me a chance to graduate with honors, summa cum laude even :)

Extrema, thanks and good luck. I just Submitted my intent to enrolled at Dominguez hills. Do you know how do I find out when is my registration date?

Dmangat,
At CSUDH your registration date is determined by your orientation date, and all that is carried out through admissions.

@Dmangat What was your major?

MyCSULB has added a lot of stuff. The “My Academics” section is pretty neat, although apparantly I still have GE’s to fulfill…

Also does anyone else have an unexpected “Expected Grad Term”?

I called and told me that transfers don’t need orientation to register but then didn’t know how I should go about registering. My major is sociology

I just checked my status! I got accepted!

@hopefultransfer: yeah mine says spring 2016, but i know it wont take that long.

I caved in and checked my status yesterday after reading the latest messages on this thread. To my surprise I was offered provisional admission (due to the fact I’m currently taking one of the golden 4 required courses). Oddly enough my major is now listed as Studio Art, BA, instead of Pre-Illustration. When I applied I didn’t specify a back-up major, so I’m assuming it’s a typo of sorts. Come Monday I’ll find out for sure (I got home too late to call). Any other art major having similar issues?

@Dmangat, like others have said, don’t let CSULB’s decision bring you down. I’m a firm believer that everything that happens has a reason, perhaps whatever school you decide to attend comes out to be the better choice for you. Especially considering CSULB 13-unit cap and who knows what else lays in store for CSULB students. I wish you well in your academic efforts :)

@coll234 thanks, although I’m still kinda sad, I am also a believer of that everything happens for a reason and that I am thankfull that I get to continue my education. Best of luck to you at CSULB

Visited the campus today! Great campus! Love all the landscaping, and the area around it is really awesome. Drive just 5 minutes and you get into some really cool areas of long beach. So excited for fall!!

Elite Toast,

I can’t wait either. I’m counting the months, weeks and days…
August 20…
What is that…113 days?
Here’s a countdown:

It seems so far from now. I guess we have more than enough time to prep up!

Hey! I just passed by the campus! I’m at Rascoe’s chicken and waffles! Yummy!

Is anybody else still waiting :frowning: I think I’ve lost all hope. My application status is still in the “competitive decision round.”

First day of classes is August 27th
