Has anybody been rejected yet? I've only heard of acceptances and I'm worried that they are just waiting to accept everyone and then send out the rejections.

That’s pretty much what they do. They send out all the acceptances first and then the rejection letters go out at the end of the month.

actual spring admits are in the middle of the two…at least they were last year…

why are people accepted as spring admits?

Spring admits are better than being waitlisted.

does usc waitlist people? i’ve never heard usc doing that.

No, they do not waitlist. My daughter received her spring admission on Black Friday. (This is the day lots of kids received their rejections.) Don’t lose hope.

Apparently some people that were in the wave this week got rejected. Bizarre.

That’s the first time I’ve heard that. Do you know anyone personally who got rejected?

Naw… berg is messing with you.

majority of acceptances will be coming at the end of the month, along with rejections. they send out acceptances in waves, but if you haven’t gotten an acceptance, you’ll just have to wait until end of march.

No that is why USC has Spring admits. USC bumps some students from Spring to Fall.

do spring come out with rejections then? and do you know if they have big packets or like if they come in small ones like the rejectrions

How exactly do spring admits work?
Do you simply just start your college years in the spring? Or do you have to attend community college or something and start on transfer credits?

2 ppl from my school got rejected

ruskie- in at least the last 7 years (since I have been watching admissions at USC) no one has ever received a rejection this early. Would you please go back and confirm that those two people actually received rejection letters? If so, that would be very big news so please see if you can find out for sure and let us know- thx.

WHAT?!?!?! that is scary how did they get rejected already!

probably a bluff

Yes, spring admits get the same big envelope, the same letter, the same joy. The only difference is Orientation. You can’t sleep over (my daughter’s orientation was during finals at SC).

Just got off the phone with USC admissions counselor. Unless there is some very unusual circumstance that this counselor did not know about, she said (I wrote this down so I’d get it right),

“No rejections have gone out yet. If there were any, I would know about it because I would have received calls from those parents and no one has called yet.” “It is highly unlikely that any rejections have gone out because I haven’t heard about it.”

Because of how they have done it in the past coupled with this adcon’s statement, NO REJECTIONS HAVE BEEN SENT YET. If anyone says or thinks otherwise, please check your sources and confirm before posting here.
