Has anyone else got an email from Cornell about the IRL program

The email goes as follows

Hello ********

Cornell University’s ILR School invites you to visit campus this fall to discover how the program will prepare you for leadership positions and diverse careers in business, economics, law, government, international relations, public policy and social justice.

Prospective first-year students are encouraged to attend one of our Saturday Visit Days. Please join us on September 27, or on October 4, 11, 18 or 25 to learn how you can tailor the ILR curriculum to your interests, pursue internship and career opportunities around the world, prepare a strong application and apply for financial aid.

The program includes a student panel and a detailed review of admissions criteria. ILR students will provide insight into the major, their internship and abroad experiences, and life at Cornell.

Nomathade Chris Jenkins ’15 will be on the panel and will share his experience interning for Ernst & Young in New York City, his role as president of the Minority ILR Student Organization (MILRSO), and his time studying abroad at the Warwick Business School (WBS) in the U.K. https://www.ilr.cornell.edu/admissions/Student_Experience/student_organizations.html

We look forward to supporting your college search process and seeing you on campus this fall.

Sincerely,

ILR Admissions team

I asked a lot of my peers both with better and worse academic decides than me and nobody else got this. Does this mean I should apply. Without this email I would never had thought of applying to Cornell. I have never selected cornell as one of my desired schools online btw.

I should have put gotten smh lol

And ILR! It’s Industrial and Labor Relations. I think this might just be a mass email sent to all prospective applicants, but if the program piques your interest then it wouldn’t be a bad idea to check it out.

Best of luck!

Yes my Daughter received the same email.

My daughter too.

I think they buy contact information from College Board. My son received these mailings (email and summer to fall US mailings) from ILR last year and he had never contacted them.
