Has anyone else read the Urban Dictionary definition for CollegeConfidential?

Haha. The Urban Dictionary definition is hilarious :D

Well, CC users are not average high schoolers. The “average” high-schooler thinks that an SAT score of 1600 is good. At least that’s what people think in my school.

it just gave me a laugh b/c even tho it exaggerates a lil, its pretty close to the truth.

@Doinks Still, about 700 people got a 2400 this year.

I’ve read this before, and it is very funny. It’s definitely true about the “What are my chances?” forum, although not as much on other forums.

[Urban Dictionary: xiggi](Urban Dictionary: Xiggi)

Yeah I have to agree w/ Dogod; it totally fits the chances forum but there’s a whole 'nother CC out there!!! Like many forums are not that crazy. Especially if you go to the parents forum there’s a lot of really helpful advice, and most parents are quick to assault the mindset that HYPSM schools are the be-all end-all.

It’s part true.
Some people go a bit extreme at people’s chances at ivy league schools and people are obsessive here about ivy’s

But not everyone is like that. This is a mature site for the most part.

And like everyone said.
That is just one part of the site. The other parts are really helpful

I’d say it’s somewhat accurate. I mean, it’s pretty clear that a lot of people come on here just to “show off” their grades. It can be a very helpful site though. It depends on what threads you get yourself into.

Yeah it was written in 2005 when a 1600 was a perfect score.

If it was written after the change, they could be talking about M+CR since some schools don’t even look at the writing part.

I thought it was pretty funny.

^^ same but i personally think this website is more helpful than anything in general because how many other websites offer a place where you can learn how to learn how the ace the SAT and learn almost everything you wanna/need to know bout high school AND college from actual students in one afternoon? But every website has its flaws and annoying dorks who wanna show off and/or ■■■■■ is cc’s flaws

The urbandictionary definition(s) sum it up perfectly, I believe. It’s a bunch of kids bragging about their accomplishments, and then there’s the parent’s forum.

^I disagree. A lot of kids actually want help and advice.
Some of the Parents on here are aggravating. Like the kids, the vast majority of parents are helpful and sincere. But there are always those parents who just like seeing praise heaped on their kids by others on here, just like the kids who need affection.

Some of the definitions were hilarious.

It’s true, but like others said sometimes it can be helpful. For example when people constructively tell someone what to do in order to raise their chances instead of just saying it will never happen, or anything posted on the U of Alabama section. :p
