Son is getting ready to leave in a few weeks and I am not sure he has thought of everything

How much Euro should he take with him?

Should he buy his books at Malibu campus and take on the plane?

How much luggage can be take? Two of those 30" rolling suitcases plus a back pack?

And what is the requirement for Health coverage? Kinda confusing as to what you need to have or if current coverage is also good for international

Every time I look up the Germany campus, it seems there is some new requirement that we didn't know about. I am really afraid there is something we don't know about.

I was in the London program this past year...

I brought about $100 cash with me that I exchanged for pounds once I arrived, and after that I just used my debit card. How much total he'll need for the year depends on how much traveling he is planning on doing.

For books, I'd suggest checking with the program director. My visiting faculty brought the books we'd need for communication and speech from Malibu himself, and we bought the books directly from him. For our English class we bought the plays we needed to read from bookstores after we arrived. It really depends on the class and the professor.

Check with the airline for specific luggage limits, but most people brought two suitcases plus a carry-on bag.

If I remember correctly, Pepperdine offered some kind of health coverage to buy if your current coverage wasn't international. However, I'm not sure what requirements your insurance would have to meet.
