<p>has anyone received or does anyone know when we are supposed to receieve the housing and orientation package? i live the other side of the world so i want to know if they courier it or send it through regular mail (in which case i will get it in like a month!)..</p>
<p>I haven't gotten mine yet and I live about two hours away. You can call to get the information if you don't get your package after others do.</p>
<p>i'm wondering about the same thing! i live in singapore and i've not heard from them at all...have they even send some sort of acknowledgement that they've received your reply slip and cheque?</p>

<p>I called, they entered in all the information about CAS orientation assignments today, and wednesday they should be sending them out.</p>

<p>hi ranisparkle, thanks for the info! are u an international applicant? so i assume they would be sending the packages to both the local & international students on the same day right? and also, when u sent in ur reply slip/cheque, did they inform u that they received them or did u just assume they did? thanks...</p>
<p>they didn't inform me.. i was curious to know whether they had received my stuff so i emailed them and a few days later got a reply saying that had received my reply slip and deposits.. if u want to know then just email them or call..</p>
<p>My package was through courier. But it was only about the film major and the scholarship thing that I got.</p>

i'm an international student from singapore. i'm enrolling in sternt this fall and i've submitted my $500 deposit. However, i haven't received an acknowledgement from them, or an orientation package.</p>
<p>Also, whenever i try to log into the housing forms, i get timed out. When i called them on the phone and asked, they told me i had to wait for the housing package. the deadline is like 10 days away and it still hasn't arrived yet! anyone else has this problem?</p>

I'm from Singapore too..I got this snail mail letter from NYU telling me they've received my deposit/reply slip but I've not received the housing package yet...maybe we should call in to ask again if we don't get it by this weekend...</p>
<p>i got the housing letters today... 2 of them.. and i am from Pakistan... since they got to me today they will probably be coming to you soon.. although all the information is available on NYUHome so these letters were useless for me.. </p>
<p>ath the NYUHome site doesn't work very well... i get timed out too..and sometimes it just says your session has expired and it doesn't connect.. one random day it decided to work and thats when i finished all my work online... try using it again it might just work..</p>
<p>today's friday and i still haven't received it. but i got an email the other day from stern welcoming me n givin some details abt orientation. anyway, i managed to log onto the housing forms by changing the proxy. looks like the housing officer was talking crap when she said i haven't been authorised. big thanks to messeduprenegade and black_rim! </p>
<p>anyway, have u guys applied for your I20s? i only put down 51K for my first year's finances and was wonderin if dat's gonna delay the issue of my I-20...</p>
<p>o darn i got confirmation of my deposit and a general letter about the orientation for all the schools and an email for stern scholars but my friend also in stern 9but not scholars) said she received an email and letter about orientation for the 13-15 (the original, incl. in the email, was 6-10) so what's the deal? is this the email you're talking about?</p>

yeah i applied for the I-20 and I also put down 51K for the first year... but i think thats ok coz it just said you should have extra in reserves but its not a compulsary thing.. so 51K should be ok because it covers all immediate NYU costs.. i don't think it will take longer..</p>
