@elise303 information on scholarships may be coming later.
Can confirm we got a letter about a week after acceptance awarding Dean’s Scholarship. Weirdly, it said amount was forthcoming. Another letter a week later with the award amount.
@MentalGiant, I thought that first letter was odd too. My S and I kept looking for the AMOUNT of the scholarship, but the letter didn’t say. The letter with the actual amount came the next day.
Has anyone still not heard from UNH? My daughter is still waiting. Probably not a good sign I assume.
I still haven’t heard either…so frustrating, its my top pick and I definitely will go if admitted whereas only about 20% of the kids that get admitted will go. So many kids are already looking at other schools because they didn’t the money they wanted from UNH. I just want to get in!
@lucky978 my son’s friend still hasn’t heard and he has great stats and will most definitely get accepted so not necessarily a bad sign!! Also, @waitingkillsme hang in there and best of luck!
My D got the letter today that she was deferred to RD. We were very surprised. She’s disappointed and plans to accept one of her other EA admission offers-wants to start making potential roommate connections. Good luck to all!
Oh wow - that is frustrating indeed! I don’t blame her for wanting to start to make connections. Do you mind me asking what her major was for UNH? Are you in NH or MA?
Psychology…we’re in MA…she was accepted to 10 schools (so has choices) and deferred at UNH. I tried to guide her into have a few “first choices”, and she got into those. But this was her “First” first choice.
Fingers crossed for your daughter (and mine!). This is such a long process - I had no idea!
My daughter received a letter yesterday deferring her to regular admissions. They state that her major of choice (Communication Science and Disorders) has a lot of interest and they are going to review second term grades before admission into the program. They do give her the option to select another major instead. Not sure what she’s going to do.
My son also received a deferral to RD. UNH was one of his top choices. He is interested in their wildlife and conservation biology program, but is also considering a criminal justice/forensics path at other schools. We are also from MA. We have accepted student days to attend at his other top schools through March, so hopefully by then we’ll know for sure about UNH. I’d like him to make a decision by April 1st.
My daughter was accepted into the Occupational Therapy program. The letter is dated Jan 4 and says she will receive a letter with information on the Dean’s scholarship within two weeks.
deferred in the middle of december…
Son’s friend was accepted today with $6,000.00 scholarship. It took a while for him to hear as he was early action candidate.
Sorry for not checking back - but I can confirm that no award letter has come. Also, since been deferred at UMASS. SATs were 760/680 (my mistake)
