What do you think of space sci fi attempting to go in the “dark and gritty” route due to the success of shows like “Game of Thrones” and “The Walking Dead”?
Even Star Trek has gone in this direction.
There is Apple’s “For All Mankind” and I find it to be the most enjoyable space adventure despite the off the wall soap opera. Despite the serious themes there are plenty of lighthearted scenes.
There are cool space scenes in almost every episode of this anime.
There is “The Orville” but I am not a fan of rubber suited aliens and cheap tacky costumes.
