Have I hit a plateau?

Throughout this whole summer I have consistently been getting low 1400s on my SAT practice tests (not official).
I am having trouble on the Critical Reading section especially due to Words in Context, Command of Evidence, Historical and World Literature passages (because they use advanced vocabulary).
My vocabulary is pretty weak, but I’m not sure on how to advance it.

Anyways, how do I get over this plateau and increase my verbal score to 700+?

I am also having trouble on the calculator portion, especially word problems. I am going to be a Junior this fall and I will be going into Calculus BC so I know all the mathematics topics on the tests but the calculator problems just throw me off.

Any tips on how to get out this plateau? Any prep book recommendations?

IES prep has created a prep book specifically for historical passages (since these tend to confuse many test takers). The book is “New SAT Reading: Vice and Virtue in the Exploration of Democracy (Advanced Practice Series)”

Thanks!

Any other recommendations guys?
