at the mallory?
I think if they didn't roughhouse I don't see why not. I would ask first ( perhaps you can find a stable nearby?)
Two? wow

Choose from the following great activities:

-breakfast: you and your child will bond at a local laundromat over eleven loads of laundry-- coffee served

-seminar: "banks don't like it when you bounce checks"

-art installation: You were pierced where?

-seminar: "I am paying and you are playing: what's wrong with this picture?"

-dinner: Take entire dorm to dinner at a decent restaurant

-optional: meet the scruffy boyfriend/trampy girlfriend

-watch a team filled with 1600 SATs lose to rival school

lol
so true sbmom
The thing that impressed me was that MY mom barely blinked at the co-ed bathrooms and she thought the baskets of condoms on the bathroom counter was a good idea.
( However it probably helped that my daughters new best friend a boy who studied with his laptop on her bed was very clean cut looking and wore ties.)

LOL@SBmom! I can't wait. :-)

You got coffee at the laundromat!? No fair. I had to do the laundry in the basement.

But I did get to have lobster for lunch and dinner 3 days running, since our hotel was across the street from Legal Seafood.

Emerald, I have a horse, and these two are not even close to being that large. LOL

Do I need dinner reservations too?!

I HOPE the college has condoms handy. And as far as parents not being shocked at the coed bathrooms - oh, if only our kids really knew anything about the 70's!!! (Probably a good thing that they don't...)

It depends on where you are going to need dinner reservations
I don't think we ate out, although I did go to an overrated Chinese place to get food for the dorm. I also went to the grocery store to get them supplies so they didn't have to eat in commons if they didn't want to, but since I hadn't been eating there everyday, I wasn't tired of the food. In fact I think they step it up during parents weekend, cause I thought it was pretty good , they also host several events to feed the parents, although don't wait till the end to go, cause food will be gone or at least cold :(

Whether you'll need dinner reservations depends on the relative size of the school to the community and what restaurant you want to go to... and how many people are going. In my experience, you always want reservations if you have 5 or more people.

So, they don't generally plan any special kind of dinner or anything? Thanks.

Out parents weekend is the same weekend as Mothers Day

SBMom, Definitely LOL, will print out.

frazzleddad, I tried to convince my son to take the dang dog to the dorm as the mascot. I thought it was a great idea. We are not a dog-loving family, but a dog to cuddle with when you're a homesick/depressed/lonely/needtorunoffsomeengergy college student? Priceless.

Son did not feel my suggestion was worthy of a reply.

my daughter became interested in Reed when she read that they have a "cat" dorm. She ultimately didn't choose to be in the cat dorm, but thought it was a cool offering.
