The Education section of the Common App has a section called ‘honors’ where space for 5 such honors is given.
In India, we dont really get such ‘honors’ so I have left this section blank
In the additional info section I have mentioned why I have left that section blank and have listed some academic awards I have received in high school, because I thought, but wasnt sure, that those would roughly translate to ‘honors’

Why wouldn’t those academic awards be listed in the honors section?
Because they aren`t ‘honors’ as the US calls them
What are the awards specifically? That should help us tell you where to list them.
The Common App and the admissions officers are not that rigid. If you put your awards, honors, accomplishments, etc somewhere in your application, they will see them and consider them in you admissions.
Honors on the common app is referring to academic awards.
