Having a major and minor in different colleges?

I will be attending community college next quarter, and I had a few questions regarding transfer policies. Suppose I wanted to major in math, statistics, or economics (which is usually in the college of letters and sciences department), and I wanted to get a minor in computer science (which is usually in the engineering department). How will my admissions be viewed as? Usually, admits to college of Letters and sciences have lower transfer GPA’s than college of engineering admits, so would my admissions be based on college of LnS, CoE, or both?

BTW: i am not looking for a way to get into a school the easiest way; I am genuinely interested in my major and minor, and was curious on how my application would be viewed.

Generally, you would be required to apply to the school which offers your major, not the minor. However, colleges can and likely do differ on this particular issue, so the best course of action is to look at the schools’ websites or email the admissions offices for clarification.

@Episteme‌ ok thanks
