Students have long requested more formal opportunities to focus on the business of sports while at the Wharton School. WSBI introduces students to the Sports Business Industry through:

-Sports Business Consulting Practicum opportunities, company treks, and independent study projects;

-sponsoring sports-specific conferences, speakers, career panels, receptions and forums to raise exposure to leaders and key topics in the sports business industry;

-facilitating recruiting efforts in this highly competitive industry by working hand-in-hand with career services, companies and alumni;

-support of student-run sports business focused clubs at the MBA and undergraduate levels;

-there are no sports management degree programs at Wharton and currently no plans to introduce them

-certificate programs can be customize for sports industry organizations.

Suggest you contact the program directly....don't go thru admissions to figure out if this is a possibility:

"To learn more about these educational programs email us at sportsbusiness@wharton.upenn.edu or contact Professor Kenneth Shropshire, WSBI Faculty Director, at 215-898-3017."

I'd urge you to make a phone call (repeatedly if necessary) to the named professor until you connect, rather than to send an email to this drop-box. Much easier to ignore an email.
