college help - sport management

Hey everyone

I am interested in sport management, but I have a few questions.

The colleges I am considering so far for this major are UMass Amherst (which I was at the other day for a visit and thought it was awesome), Ithaca, Syracuse, and Seton Hall (close to home). I have obviously heard very positive things about UMass and Ithaca. I have heard some positives and negatives about Syracuse, including the quality of the teachers. In terms of Seton Hall, I really haven't heard anything about their program. Anyone have anything to add/discuss about these schools or any others schools I should take a look at (preferably in the Northeast area and as far down south as the Carolinas)?

Also, I would want to include sport management as part of a double major. The areas I have considered are communications or business, finance, etc. Anyone have advice or input on this? Also, I could probably still graduate within 4 years with that combination of double major (most likely), correct?

Thanks in advance for any help!

A former poster used to write a lot about the sports management program at University of South Carolina.

Here’s a website where you can get a quick glance at colleges, their programs and admissions, and cost and other stats. Just plug in the name of the college.

For sport management, look for the bigger colleges and universities in the geographical area you want…then plug in the names and click on “programs.” Sometimes they are in UG business and sometimes it’s in recreation/kinesiology programs.

Has anybody ever considered/attended Seton Hall University for its sport management program? If so, how was your experience?

UCONN has it as well.
