I once heard someone say that a 3.4 at HC is a 4.0 at Harvard. Is it really that difficult to succeed? I would have a very good chance of being admitted but since I want to go to law school I want to go to a school where I can still succeed and get a reasonably high GPA. Is it worth it to go there if you're applying to graduate/professional schools?

Graduate schools are aware of the grading scales at the various colleges and the academics at HC, while quite rigorous, are not all that much different from other top academic institutions.

While a very rigorous academic experience, it is one that greatly benefits our students interested in graduate school. Our acceptance rate to law school – 85% on average each year – is extremely high, and points to the understanding and respect law schools have for a Holy Cross education.
