<p>Thanks Craig! A very helpful post!! My son's aware he is suppose to earn $1500 this summer. However as of today - no summer job. We just had a talk last night that he really needs to find something - I suggested he get creative and go to the local farmer's market on Saturday morning and stand on a corner juggling and solving his rubiks cube with a sign "Oakland Student headed to Caltech in Sept. Need Money/Job". Alas, he has been trying to find a summer job but so far nothing. We both know if he doesn't land a summer job it will mean a loan to cover this portion.</p>
<p>It seems like taxation without representation. Couldn't they have come up with something more gradual? Sigh</p>
