I have recently learned that Health Science is a capped major, but I don’t quite understand how competitive it is. I understand that is is less competitive than Nursing or Engineering, but I haven’t heard much info on the stats required to gain admission. I am top 15% in my class, 30 act, and 3.6 (uw) gpa - my school doesn’t weight.
When my DD attended Blitz Day this past spring, the Health Science presenter stated that it was one of the most competitive majors at the university. (Maybe they all say that?) They typically enroll around ~500 freshman to the program. Your stats look competitive, so definitely put HS as your top choice major but maybe select something like biological sciences as a second choice major. Good luck!
Check out the brochure that is sent to the high school guidance counselors. It breaks down the majors towards the back of the booklet. http://www.clemson.edu/admissions/documents/counselor%20report%2017.pdf
