Is this true or no?

nope not at all. My d visited many of schools with the above description and if Delaware was like that, she would not have attended.

Not at all…I’m sure there are some preppy kids. At a school this size there are all kinds, but overall, not even close.

What the heck? I think UD would be better off without people who hate ANY other group of people. Please attend somewhere else!

samiamy:
Your daughter chose her college due to what the people on campus dressed like?? :FACE PALM: Unbelievable.

You’ve already visited and you have to ask such a question? It’s sad that you are so narrow minded. Part of college is learning about people who are different from you.

:FACE PALM: she did not chose UD because of the lack of preppy students she chose it for their CHEM E program, the quite generous merit scholarship and the research(which she started in HS) that she is continuing at UD why do you ask? Why so quick to jump on someone when expressing an opinion how a student perceives the vibe/focus of a particular campus? Isn’t the kid going to live there for 4 years? Yeah unbelievable isn’t it. Would you also be disgusted that the same kid chose UD over the other top 10 ranked Undergrad Chem Engineering programs she got into. Rolls eyes

I’m confused. How many “preppy” types does it take out of 16000 to make someone cross it off there list? I personally don’t care why someone picks a particular school. But the whole “hate” thing is disturbing.
