I realize my question might sound a bit ignorant, but I'm a novice at this grad school thing and am still learning. (None of my family or friends ever applied to grad school, so they don't know much more than I.)
I've applied to grad schools a couple of months ago and am still waiting to hear back from most of them. Finances are a big issue for me, and I will definitely need something such as a graduate assistantship to pay for grad school. I've applied for those.
Basically, if a school were to admit me, when could I expect to find out whether or not they will also award me with a graduate assistantship? Is there typically some mention of that at the same time one is notified about admission, or might one not find out about possible funding until later?
In my case, obviously, funding would play a huge role in whether or not I'd decide to enroll at a school.
Any recommendations would also be appreciated.

It depends on the school, but I was recently notified of my acceptance and the details of my funding are in my official acceptance.

I found out in my acceptance letter. You should find out before any deadlines, though, so you won't have to accept an offer blind.
