Alright. I'm a sophomore and i become a junior next school year.
I'm going crazy about my grade now.
Many people are telling me that the GPA should not, never go down because colleges look at the "Ascending" trait of the GPA or whatever...
So, for the both semesters in freshman year, I got B's in French and then I ended up getting an A for the first semester of my sophomore year. However, because of my poor exam score, I ended up getting a B for the second semester.
Would this really hurt when applying to colleges?

Well yes improving grades are more valuable than deproving grades but no I don’t think that is going to really hurt you. If you have overall improvement across all classes then that is fine but one class going down is normal. You are going into a more difficult french class and colleges will recognize that as well.

BBAB isnt downward

ABBC is downward

what if your gpa is kinda stagnant? o.o

What if your french grade is downward but you maintain 3.9 GPA?

Don’t worry about it. Whether you have an A or a B in French, colleges are looking at the overall picture. It can seem like a big deal now, but it definitely won’t make a big impact in the future. Just focus on doing the best you can and know that your hard work will pay off. :)
