Help!! 2.8-3.0 Gpa And 1300 Math/cr Sat Score..where Do I Go?

I figured out thanks to a horribe 9th grade year that my GPA is not the mid 3's I hoped for but more like a 2.8 -3.0 without my first quarter grades, which are going to be great, my combined math/cr is 1300 and I am taking again this Sat. and expect to do close to a 1400.

Question is all the schools I have in mind fit me SAT wise but not GPA wise. I have a fantatic essay, good but not over the top ec's, lots of comm. service, and both of my parents did not go to college. I will get good rec letters and my counselor I know will speak highly of me.

Some schools I am applying to:
BU, NORTHEASTERN, SYRACUSE, U MIAMI, BENTLEY,WISCONSIN, U OF ARIZONA, BC (REACH) PENN STATE, VILLANOVA

Any thoughts? Thanks to anyone who can give me some good solid advice!!

You're in at U of Arizona no problem.

Is that a 1300/1600 or a 1300/2400?

he said combined math/cr... so 1300/1600

i wouldn't even bother applying to wisconsin if i were you

I hope those are nonweighted scores. If that's weighted, then meh.

Arizona's easy. I can see you in Miami and MAYBE vill.

But northwestern? Doubt it if you didn't do anything special.

^ he said northEASTern, not western... learn to read.

u got a decent/good chance at Northeastern I'd said

Unweighted and I am in an all IB curriculum, yes its 1300 out of 1800 not 2400. I said Northeastern, what do you think my chances are for:

BU AND U MIAMI (my top two picks)

I have also heard that some schools do not factor in the 9th grade year which if that is the case I am in better shape...any thoughts or comments?

If your grades have improved a lot since 9th grade, I would apply to all those schools. You have a good chance.

Thanks Momofwildchild! Yes my grades have improved significantly since 9th last year was all B's and 2 A's and this year I am planning on mostly A's. Thanks for your vote of confidence, I really need that right about now!! :)

I'd say you have a pretty decent chance at both of your top two.
