I need some help with figuring out what to see when I'm on the East Coast. I'm going to be visiting Brandeis and then I have a day and a half to drive down to see NYU. To anyone who lives in either Boston, or along the way from Boston/Waltham to Stamford, CT, where should I visit? What should I go see? I've never been to the east coast and I have no idea what's worth going to see.
Please help!!

east coast=its still freezing here!

i dunno…bear mountain, the bronx zoo…

visit nyu! it really cool, and definitely tour nyc. use the subway for extra fun

There are many colleges in Boston to visit! My daughter attends Boston University and loves the city…very easy to get around, great food, sites etc. She has also taken summer classes at NYU. I would be glad to help you as much as I can!

In Boston take a tour of Fenway Park, eat lunch at Faneuil hall, shop on Newbury Street and in Harvard square (Cambridge)

the subway here is dirty and old (built in 1904) but hey I guess it’s a experience. I prefer using the NYU bus whenever possible.

Now now, they came out with the new R140s and R160s…the new subway cars are awesome and clean. The stations themselves aren’t THAT dirty, just down by the platform for the most part.

Yes, I heard they are getting even newer models for the remaining older trains (7 line I heard).

I seriously think they should really renovate the stations. It leaks every time there is rain!

There’s way too many stations to renovate. I know that some stations were up for renovation last year but the MTA is cash strapped (who knows where the hell all that money goes).

My dad’s a civil engineer and his last project was replacing the escalators at the Herald Sq station, so they’re doing some work. Slowly.
