Since I decided to take my first SAT Subject Test (Chemistry) as a sophomore, I signed up early a couple weeks ago on collegeboard.

I did not find out until now that I signed up for the actual SAT, not the Subject Test. I tried to switch to the subject test online today and found out my test center of choice (closest to home) is full and the next available test center is relatively far. Is there still a chance that my original test center has extra room for me if I call customer service?, because it is still 14 days before the test (June 1).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

When the testing center is full, it’s full, and they can’t do anything about it (I fell victim to the same issue for this June’s testing as well). So I will be traveling to the next city, and I will not make the same mistake again

You should try to call anyway.

I took the May 4th SAT test, and a good friend of mine who took the test with me accidentally registered for the SAT instead of SAT Subject Tests. She realized this after looking at the ticket right before she went in, so she asked the proctor if she could do the SAT Subject Tests instead because that was what she meant to take. He was unsure at first whether she could do it or not, but she ended up being able to do the SAT Subject Tests regardless of what her ticket said. I think it all depends on how full the test center is and the number of students taking the exam.
