I'm a 07 high school graduate. due to problems in the family, not knowing my true calling, and a lack of confidence with myself I did not enroll into college with the rest of my class. I was accepted into several school's but did not go because I had no way to pay. No scholarships. Financially I have no support from my family There is just no extra money for my schooling. Right now I am so ready and wanting to go off to school. I want to major in computer science. I would do anything to do it. I know I still have options I just don't know them. I know that loans and military could be options? How could I get scholarships or financial aid? If I could I would like to just go to school in the 08-09 class. I had a 3.1 gpa and am smart and hardworking somewhere I got misguided and need help back on track. please? anyone?

a local state school would probably be an excellent option for you. It doesn't have to be your flagship university -- many states have excellent, smaller schools that might provide you with a better financial aid package.

What state do you live in?

Also -- since you are under 24, you parents will have to fill out the financial aid paperwork. I know you said they don't support you financially, but will they fill out the paperwork?

You could also take some community college courses and have some general education classes out of the way (and with work, some good grades to show for it) before you start at whatever college you want to end up at.

I live in Virginia. Iv lived here my entire life. My dad? Yes. My mom? No. After she lost custody of me she abandoned the family. I have not spoken to her in 7 years and don't really know any way of getting in contact.

it will be much harder for me to complete the college application process and get financial aid and other aid options now that I am not a high school senior. Is this true or not? What I would do to go a year back in time.

My dad's tax history is questionable.. but I am not sure of the situation exactly.

yeah nova is in the back pocket. I want to go to a 4 year university. money is the problem I don't know how I could afford it
