Help! Advice please.

Everyday I get stressed out and sad every time grades and college come to mind. Sophomore year I had the worst gpa of a 2.8 ( sad, I know). In all honesty, call me stupid, I actually didn't know much of college, so I had no idea why grades were important, plus I lacked motivation because I didn't have a passion or any goal, but that was then. Now as a junior, I'm taking a couple IB classes and hopefully achieve higher than a 4.0, sounds unrealistic right? Well, I know I can do it because I have a motivation to do well, and when I find motivation, I most likely will do my best to achieve that. My problem is that would I be able to get accepted to a good college?

Oh & I'm involved with a lot of extra curricular in and outside of school and also active in sports at my school.

As long as you stay on track and continued with your upward trend in your junior year, there’s hope. Be sure to do well on your SAT or ACT, you still have a chance. Anything is possible. Best of luck!

Thank you!

You can get into plenty of good colleges with a 3.0 average and a decent ACT/SAT, despite how this site occasionally presents itself…most students don’t have a perfect 4.0 and sky high test scores. Don’t fret, work on getting into the 3.0 and above range and your doors will be open to many schools.

Thank you, you’re such a confidence booster. (=
