<p>Hello all,</p>
<p>(I hope I put this in the right section, forgive me if I didn't.)</p>
<p>Please forgive my ignorance, but I know close to nothing about the whole college application process. Please, help me out!</p>
<p>In short; I play soccer at the highest junior level at one of the better clubs in an European country. In other words, I'm not your regular recreational Sunday morning player, I play at an elite level in the most competitive sport in the world (I guess). Lately, I've been thinking of using my athletic ability to get into an American college.</p>
<p>I'm an average student and my ec's are weak, but I am a hard worker and will do my absolute best to improve in both fields. I have lived abroad and I'm bilingual. </p>
<p>How much of an edge does my soccer merits give me, in regards to getting into a good university? What are the schools looking for in an athlete?</p>
<p>I have tried searching on college confidential, but nothing of interest came up, so if this has been discussed before, please help me out!</p>
