ops meant huge deflation…haha

Thanks a lot for the tips, they’re great. I had to laugh with the SAT one because he’s taking it on Saturday but has barely prepped for it…I’m counting on the Fall “second chance”…and he’s counting on going to the UK and forgetting about the SATs Did you really have to take TOEFL as a dual citizen? I’ve only just discovered the world of early decision, so thanks for that insight. Financial aid is also a huge question mark, which is why I can’t argue with him too much on the preference for the UK, it’s definitely a better bargain if he’s out of London - which safety school did you apply to? was the 30K merit-based aid?

as for me, I’m Greek-American, not Italian, although I always say I should have honorary citizenship since I gave birth in an Italian public hospital…and any woman who survives that deserves the passport! We lived in Rome for 10 years and my son did scuola materna/first grade there before we moved to Brussels, where he’s in the European/Greek system (with lots of English classes…and Sky Calcio keeps his italian up to speed ) - grade deflation is pretty similar over here, although i think US grade inflation has gotten totally out of control in the 20 years since I left…

Enjoy the rest of the year and that great feeling of knowing your done and decided…at least until grad school application time rolls around!
