HIgh involvement in school leadership activities
(be more specific)

Take out "who's who's" from your application and try to replace it with a real award.

Besides that
UNC - Reach
UCSD - Slight Reach (out of state)
UCLA - Slight Reach/ Reach (out of state)

USC - Good
Michigan - good (slight reach if ann arbor)

Try and get a few safety schools

MochaFrappachino:

UNC-CH: Reach (out of state)
Michigan: Match
USC: Match
UCLA: Reach (out of state)
UCSD: Slight Reach (out of state)

UNC-CH accepts much fewer kids out of state compared to in-state and UMich is really popular. My advice is to get in applications fast, if you haven't done so already.

UNC ..very unlikely stats would need to be higher..plus you are female and that will also hurt you
Dont know about others..
Good luck !

BTW "whos who" is meaningless in my opinion..It will not help your app.

sorry- weighted gpa is 4.3 not 3.3. does that change anyones vote lol?

is unc really that hard to get into? i thought unc would be slightly easier than usc

The averages for USC are a 4.0 gpa and 1340 SAT. On your stats alone it sounds like you have a good chance, but stats aren't everything to them.

UNC takes 17% from out of state by law. So that works out to very few kids. Hence you gotta have a hook or pretty exceptional stats to get in from out of state. Now if you are in state its different. Also they have a very high % females so its harder if you are female.
So when you are aiming for UNC you are not on a level playing ground as you may be with other colleges as its stacked against you from the start if you are out of state.

Mocha..the 4.3 will not change the vote..sorry (waitlisted D. had 4.6)

BTW on the USC is that 4.0 weighted or unweighted?

UNC-Chapel Hill: Reach
UMichigan: Match
USC: Match
UCLA: Reach
UCSD: Slight Reach

I believe it is weighted, but not positive.
