Based on this information, should I go ahead and apply Early Action or is there something I should do to improve my application and wait until Regular Decision?
Thanks so much!

Definitely talk with admissions to get their take as they are the ones that make the decision :). It depends on if you think you can raise your rank and GPA. If that is not going to improve, then I think you can apply EA. If it can, why not wait and make sure you have your best application considered.

I advise Early Action. You're a double legacy with a 1510 and good grades. Go for it.

Go EA you should be fine

You'd have a better chance with EA than RD

Thanks for the advice; do yall know if I would be able to find the email of the admissions officer on the ND website? or is it located someplace else?

Check who supports your area and contact him or her. Don't be surprised if the answer is vague. They'll often tell people who are clearly non-EA candidates that they shouldn't go that route, but be ambivalent about telling people to apply EA.

Go RD because of top 10% and GPA. Don't place yourself against people in the Top 1% with 4.3-4.5+GPAs. Just my advice.

I think you'd be fine EA. The legacy helps a lot and your test scores are definitely high enough. If you think your grades will go up a ton this next semester, then wait, otherwise, I don't think it would hurt to apply EA.

with your act and legacy, my oponion and from studying, your in!

Carefully think thru and have a well-written essay. Good Luck!!

i think either EA or RD would be fine... you can look at it 2 ways --- yeah, EA is good b/c there's a higher acceptance rate.. but you're against a more competitive group of applicants... for RD, there are more people applying and less people being accepted, but it is generally a less competitive group of applicants... really, EA is fine.. if you really, really want to go there, go for EA.. even though there are more competitive applicants, there still is a higher acceptance rate (generally)

Wow, I didn't realize that people were still giving me advice on this!
Mooseman, unfortunately my school doesn't send out ranks, only deciles-I'm actually number five in my class out of 122.
Anyways, I think I'm going to go ahead and risk it with Early Action..I don't think I can wait another six months to find out if I'm in or not.
I know many people have stressed the importance of the essay; if anyone would be willing to read over mine I'd really appreciate it!

if you want you can personal message it to me and ill give you some feedback.

essays are very important the higher rank the school is (top 25 schools especially).. pm it to me if you want, and i'll take some stabs at it, give you some feedback
