Help Expanding List

I’m a junior looking to expand my list of possibilities. I attend a small Minnesota high school. UW GPA 4.0, ACT 35, decent chance at Natl Merit Semifinalist or Finalist based on PSAT scores. Looking to go for pre-PA, though that’s not definite.

My parents can do around $15,000 per year, but they’re willing to help me as much as they can wherever. EFC at colleges I’ve run the calculator for has been around $15,000. My older sibling is currently attending a 100% need met school for around $12,000 per year.

My school only offers 1 AP class (statistics) which I am currently taking. However, many CIS (college in schools) classes are offered. Of these, I’m taking Human Biology and Speech and will be taking Calc 1, English, Chemistry, Psychology, and Political Science.

ECs: Lots of music, Robotics, Speech, 2 sports, NHS, student council, lots of volunteering.

I have a small list but want to expand it and get more possibilities. Specifically would like some reach schools that might fit. Smaller school is ideal, but big is not a deal breaker.

Current List:
St. Olaf
Luther
Valparaiso
University of Iowa

I feel like St. Olaf has great academics, but I feel like I fit better at Luther. Valpo has a 5-year PA-program, and Iowa has the offerings of a bigger school (with the addition of a huge price tag because MN and IA don’t have reciprocity).

This has been a long-winded post but I hope someone can give me pointers on my current list and more suggestions to expand. Thanks in advance!

You can add University of Minnesota

You’d get big aid at Nebraska, Florida State, Alabama, Texas Tech, Kansas.

Assuming your academic interests are wide-ranging, you could look into some of the well-funded NESCACs (Middlebury, Wesleyan, Hamilton, Williams . . .), or perhaps a Claremont, for schools that might be possible for you (as generally high matches or reaches). Kenyon or Oberlin could be interesting to you as well.

ditto, NESCAC. At your income level, you would get lots of need-based FA.
