Help for the SAT

I just got my results for the PSAT today:

Index Score - 208
CR 66, M 71, W 71

I want to get at least a 2200 on the SAT, and I need help.

I've always not been too good at critical reading (I was surprised I even got a 66 on this PSAT), and I have a hard time reading and analyzing the passages enough to answer the questions within the alloted time. Are there were any ways to study for this section besides practicing?

I should have gotten an 80 on the writing section, but I was nervous during the test and I didn't read some of the sentences thoroughly enough. I know I can get a perfect score on this section. Are there any ways to calm myself down during the test, and does practice help significantly if the only mistakes I am making are from being nervous?

Thanks in advance.

Don’t worry too much about it. At least for me, the PSAT was generally much harder. I took my PSAT and SAT in consecutive weeks, with minimal preparation in between and I scored about 200 more on my SAT than my PSAT. Each test is different, but the increased volume of questions on the SAT makes it a little easier if you can finish everything under the time limit, in my opinion.

^Same for me.
I actually took the SAT before the PSAT and scored higher.

Ahh, okay. Thanks for the advice.
I think I’ll just continue studying as I have been and then start taking practice exams in January and continue studying until I take the SAT in march. I know the SATs aren’t extremely important, but I know if I can get a 208 on the PSAT with no preparation I can get a 2200 on the SAT if I do study.
