Bryn Mawr has a very individualized admissions procedure. Inform yourself in as much detail as possible and go for a visit-interview. If you are "the right type" your chances are very good.

It means fitting in with the particular academic and social orientation of the college--appearing like someone who would be comfortable in and thrive in that sort of community--appreciate its particular strengths and traditions--obviously, several differnt types of people could fit this description in various respects, but the prospective student should want Bryn Mawr specifically--not just " a very good women's college in the Northeast."

as long as u show ur interested and go for an interview you're in. im a freshman this year and i had stats that were a lot below urs in terms of SATs and awards, and i knew i was getting in after the interview. just make sure u like the school.

Bryn Mawr has a very large Asian population. Almost all of my Ds friends are Asian (chinese, Korean, and East Asian). My D is a bi-racial (black/white) sophmore at BMC. It is an academically intense environment, but very supportive nontheless. D loves it. I suggest you schedule a weekend stay and check it out for yourself.

in your app, emphasize your desire to learn vs grades (bryn mawr is academically rigorous but not in the comptetitive grade related ways of other schools). show how you can make the school more diverse not just through ethnicity but through ideas, perspective, experience, etc. traditions and the honor code are very important at bmc, so having an interest in them should help.
