Jeez, tough crowd. Yeah, honestly, APUSH is a really easy course if you put a little effort into it. Amsco is a great resource, but it should not be the only one you use. Basically the whole course is just memorization. The AP test is just seeing how much information you can stuff in your brain, not necessarily how you use it. However, you do have to make connections and all that. Ah, well, I’m rambling. Basically, practice the essays, like you said. Multiple choice matters a lot too, though. Don’t underestimate the test, like I did, but don’t let it rule your whole life! Good luck :)

lovesanatomy: Yep, tough crowd. Quite honestly, I don’t really feel like I deserve it quite as much as I’m portrayed.
Niquii, all of the constructive comments I thanked people for did the exact thing you told me to do: find effective ways for me to study. That is the really important thing I need right now, obviously. The whole “get rid of the teacher” thing was probably stupid and a product of too many late hours over summer vacation… but I don’t feel like I was as crazy as I’ve been made out to be.
Again, to everybody who gave me good study books, good methods, good advice, THANK YOU. You really are a big help, and I think that that’s really what I wanted in the first place. Sure, some of you, not quite so much snarkiness (though some of you did say it pretty nicely, which was appreciated) and even the teeniest bit of sympathy, if you could have brought yourself to say it without vomiting, well, that might have been nice. However, I really do appreciate any help I’ve been given on this thread.
Good luck to everyone in school this year.
PS: Anyone who thinks, after repeated denials, that I’m upset about a four: NO I’M NOT. That would be a total waste of anger and time. I’m really upset at my school for re-assigning him to an AP class, I think, and I’m going to talk to my principal about more prep in that class when school starts.
