So I'm conflicted between taking Physics B and Physics C as I only took Calculus AB and BC is required to take the course at my school. Not only am I unsure if I will be allowed to switch from B to C, I'm not sure if it's a good idea to take C since I think I have a heavy courseload.
I'm signed up for AP Macro/Micro, AP Computer Science, AP Mandarin, AP Physics B, Multivariate Calculus, Neurobiology, and a normal core English class.
Is my schedule too much already or should I make the jump to Physics C?
I'm considering either becoming a mechanical engineer or something in the business field if that helps.
Thanks!

You only took calc AB yet you are taking MVC next year?

If you can handle MVC, you can handle Physics C. Also, since Physics B no longer exists, I assume you meant Physics 1 and/or 2.

Also, non-calculus physics will be of little use to an engineering major.

AP Physics B should no longer be available. It got changed to Physics 1 and Physics 2, two separate APs.

We still call it B and C at my school, so I didn’t realize it had changed!
My math skills are a bunch better than my physics skills, but I’m not so sure I can handle them in conjunction.
Should I drop one of my classes to compensate for how difficult Physics C is? :/

I’d recommend it. If you’re worried about courseload I’d switch it with another AP class

Since there is no AP Physics B test any more, you should ask your school what it means to take Physics B in your school.
