DS finally decided to transfer to Geo. Mason Univ., where he is delighted being in its Administration of Justice program. His life has really turned around. He is a dean's list student and enjoying campus life. Although he originally thought he needed "smaller," he really appreciates "bigger," with all of the variety and opportunities it offers. He's made a lot of new friends, has a wonderful girlfriend, and has learned a lot about himself and how to systematically go about achieving the future he dreams of.

After many fairly unsettled years, life couldn't be better. :)

Thanks, OrangeBlossom....it's always interesting to get updates.....altho Admin of Justice is an interesting change of path from veterinary science....it's great to hear that he's found his people and things are going well....

I've not read all of this thread, but want to let you know that my vet graduated from Washington College in Maryland, also a tiny LAC. Had no aspirations to be a vet or going into any medical or science based field. He went back to school to get his "premed" courses after he finished college and then got into veterinary school. He was a decent student taking general courses during college but was an excellent student 5 years after he graduated college and took the courses as a prelude to veterinary school. Needed that maturity.

Friend of mine's D is going to v-school from Kenyon which is also a small LAC. It is not unusual.
