HELP - Low GPA discussion

okay so I am a High School junior and in my freshman year my GPA was 2.88 and in my sophomore year it was a 2.6497. *both are unweighted

I am really getting scared that I won’t be accepted into any colleges. I definetely don’t want to go to community college.

Can someone please do the math and tell me the highest GPA I can get before August 2020.
I’m currently taking 8 classes and four are 5 credits, two are 6 credits, one is 1.25 credits, and one is 3.75 credits.

i took the sat once so far and got a 1100- 570 in math and 510 in ela

Im a NJ resident, and im looking to go into pharmacy or some sort of healthcare.

Go to your high school’s web page (or email your counselor) and ask how to calculate GPA. Folks here can ballpark, but without knowing the nuances, you can’t expect it to be spot on. For example, gym and drivers ed (classroom portion) are requirements in our HS, but they don’t count in calculating GPA. Do all your 8 classes count? What about senior year? If you’re applying RD, all your grades through January will be factored in.

Pharmacy and healthcare are going to be reach-majors for you if you’re planning to go directly into the usual feeder majors/programs for them. Reconsider community college. Two years of a great GPA there and your high school grades won’t be needed by most four year schools.
