Help Me Choose The Right College....

I don't really know what college I want to go to, but I have an idea of that I want to major in computer sciences or something along the path of computers. The problem is that I don't know any programing languages... like C++ or stuff like that but i'm willing to learn.

My cumulative GPA: 3.8/4.5 (w/o junior year, progressively getting better by year)
1 AP/Honor - College credit accounting honors

Hoping to do good on SATs maybe (1800-2100)
Going to take SAT II in math and one other subject..... (not sure yet, but can guarantee 750+ on math...my strongest subject by far.)

EC: this isn't all of them, just giving rough outline
Varsity soccer this year, Jv last
Varsity golf team last year, going to play this year also
Worked as a summer councilor at a well known college summer program.
JV basketball last year.... not playing this year
Very advanced in computers. Build, repair, and teach about computers.

Please help me and give me some ideal colleges that are in my range for a major in computer sciences or something dealing with computers.

Also..... If I do major in computer science, will I be sitting behind a computer all day?

You need to tell us more about what kind of environment you want: size of school, part of the country, urban/rural/suburban, campus vibe, deal-breakers, financial need, etc…

I’d like to go to a big school, somewhat of a party school but not a big issue. I’d like to be somewhere hot rather than cold. Financially, its not going to be an issue.

Can anyone give me suggestions…

The problem is that there are so many colleges that fit your criteria and your stats. The more info you can provide, see M’s Mom post, the better we can help you. Geographical preferences, urban/suburban/rural, things that are most important to you, etc. Have you seen any colleges that you like and if so, why? That will help everyone.

Well, i’ve looked at UC berkeley and I heard its a good school, but i’m not sure if its too much of a reach. Is it possible and what about any other ivy leagues?

You should re-post after you take the SAT I and II’s and/or ACT.
