I know two trips a month to Hawaii would be up your alley. But we’re trying to minimize time away and trips. Thinking maybe a long international trip, east coast trip and a short out and back to LA or something if we need it as a filler trip.
Problem is, to make this work, most will have to be business class. And the company isn’t paying anymore, we are, and we’re low on miles (and cheap). Somehow it will have to be a deal, which is why we’ll have to be flexible on locations and dates. Probably going to have to keep checking for discount fares, which seem rare!

I have 2 vouchers on VA to be used by April 2023. These are my daughters but I think anybody can use them. Luckily I did book for Amsterdam during the last week of April so I will be able to see some fun there during King’s Day, luck of the draw I guess. Direct flight from Boston to LHR, then I will take the train to Amsterdam.

But first you have to get to Boston, right? Aren’t you on the west coast?
Let me know if you have questions or want more specific suggestions. Have fun planning!

Hmm. It looks like your plan gives you very few options. If you have to use the voucher on Virgin Atlantic (and not their partners), flying out of Boston or New York, it looks like you can only fly direct to London or Edinburgh (though I could certainly be wrong). If you are determined to only take a direct flight, unless they add flights or I missed something, that’s it. But if you haven’t been to London, it is amazing! We went in March a couple of years ago, and it was an epic vacation. If you decide you’re willing to fly two legs, looks like you have plenty of options.

Yes, I’ve been flying to Boston before I get to Heathrow now. I like 6 hours flight. This way I get my lobster fix and don’t have to pay for business class tickets. I usually can get very cheap flights from my area to Boston for around $200-$300 round trip per person. My husband and I love Maine, we don’t mind seeing it often either.
