I'm applying to:

Stanford SCEA
UCLA/Cal out of state
Washington University in St. Louis (legacy)
USC
Cornell
U Mich (got in and invited to apply to honors program)
Tufts

(In order of preference, no offense Cornell, but it's too cold)
(This all hinges on me not getting accepted early to Stanford)

I'd like to hear my chances at these schools. I'm trying to figure out if I should apply early to Wash U. to increase my chances, or apply regular and wait back to hear from stanford RD or UCLA/Cal and hope all 3/4 don't reject me?

wow how did u get into u mich already if u applied scea to stanford?

Students applying to Stanford's Single-Choice Early Action program may apply to:

* Any institution, public or private, under a non-binding Rolling Admission option;
* Public institutions under a non-binding Early Action program;

Stanford's definitely a reach for you. UCLA and Cornell are also on fine line between match and reach, especially since you are outside of CA for UCLA. USC and Tufts are probably matches.

millertime3250:

UCB/UCLA: Slight Reach (out of state)

Oh I'm also a life Boy Scout and former troop leader, for what that counts.
