Hey everyone! Im glad to be part of the community!
I will be applying for boarding school soon, the schools on my list are: Milton Academy, Tabor Academy, The Masters school, and Phillips exeter. I will be applying for junior year, but open to repeat sophomore year. Right now I have an unweighted gpa of 3.8 and weighted of 4.2. I am Nicaraguan, and here in the states escaping the sociopolitical crisis, also persecution from the government. My grades last year were pretty average due to the disadvantage us, nicaraguan students had in having class cancelled every other day for 2 months, and having to do homeschool for the rest of the school year, from may to june. Im really nothing special, I am very passionate about writing, and i write for the school paper here in the us. Now I have a couple questions,
I know exeter seems impossible, but any tips?
Is 42% acceptance rate possible for me?
Im sure i can do a great essay, because im very good at writing, and that i could give a good interview because im very talkative.
I yet have to take the ssat but I am being tutored, and hope to achieve a good grade.
Any feedback?
